Translation Services
In Latin, the word „clarus“ means, among other things, clear or bright; words such as ‘clear’ in English and ‘clair’ in French are derived from this Latin root.
The guiding principle of Clarus Translation Services is that translations should be in comprehensible and readable Icelandic – so that the meaning is always clear.
Clarus Translation Services are provided by Hrafnkell Óskarsson LL.M, lawyer-linguist and certified document translator from English into Icelandic.

A certified translator is a person who has been certified to translate documents of legal import in accordance with the provisions of the Icelandic Act on Court Interpreters and Certified Translators No. 148/2000.
Documents in foreign languages that need to be submitted in a court case often need to be accompanied by a translation prepared and signed by a certified translator.
Certified translations may also be required for documents subject to public registration, or in connection with various administrative proceedings.
